The Bowne Center School is located on the S.E. corner of 84th Ave. and Alden Nash Road. It contains a collection of historical information about the eight one-room schoolhouses originally in Bowne Township. There is also a great collection of old schoolbooks, and the interior of the school is filled with old-fashioned desks and school items. The Bowne Center school is open to visitors on the first Sundays of June, July, August and September from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm . It is open other times by appointment.. To bring together those people interested in the history of our community in order to educate the present generation so that we might forever leave a historical legacy to those who come after.
