The Bowne Center School is located on the S.E. corner of 84th Ave. and Alden Nash Road. It contains a collection of historical information about the eight one-room schoolhouses originally in Bowne Township. There is also a great collection of old schoolbooks, and the interior of the school is filled with old-fashioned desks and school items. The Bowne Center school is open to visitors on the first Sundays of June, July, August and September from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm . It is open other times by appointment.. Historical Society is working to preserve these links to the past.The Bowne Towship Historical Society is continuing to gather history and to preserve the past for the future generations.
